Stocks and issues materials or merchandise. Reviews requisitions. Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information, such as price, availability, and delivery schedule. Analyze inventory and provide inventory management skills to established goals. Assist in Oracle implementation. Responsibilities Analyze inventory to achieve customer satisfaction, while making maximum use of inventory investment. Involvement with Service Product Management to determine stocking levels for new products and engineering changes on existing products. Initiate requisitions for new material purchases. Analyze parts for trends and set/reset reorder parameters to achieve best use of inventory investment. Work with suppliers to schedule/reschedule parts deliveries and repairs. Monitor suppliers with purchasing to insure acceptable supplier pricing and performance. Work with Territory Managers to insure proper utilization of field inventory and on any emergency parts requirements. Work with Product Management in regards to any FCO's, ECN's and other changes to the product. Establish forecasts to manufacturing, suppliers and Repair Shop. Work with all organizations to obtain forecasts of requirements. Initiate scrap plan for obsolete products. Work with Quality Control to disposition discrepant materials and improve supplier quality. Coordinate service product levels between Product Management and Service Analysts. Establish forecasts of future stocking levels of inventory.
